Turkey Bowl
Great Plains LIFE Foundation held their 7th Annual Turkey Bowl November 5, 2011 at Twin City Lanes in Bloomington, Illinois.
Everyone who attended this years Turkey Bowl was eligible to win door prizes such as gift cards, coupons and turkeys! More than enough sweet treats, pizza, and wings were avalible to the bowlers during the event. Local trade and labor representatives came out in force to show off their bowling skills, have some fun, and support the “Stay 4” Project®. We enjoyed watching the steep competition and would like to extend our congratulations to Carpenters Local #63 who walked away with the coveted Traveling Turkey Trophy for the seventh year in a row!

20 Stars for LIFE
The Great Plains LIFE Foundation held its annual 20 Stars for LIFE on Thursday evening, July 14th at the Lafayette Banquet Hall in Bloomington. More than 400 people attended the event, which raised $66,275 to help support the “Stay 4” Project; a program that assists low income students who are deemed at risk for dropping out of high school, however, have the aptitude and ability to be successful and go on to a post secondary educational program.
This event would not be made possible if it weren't for the sponsorship and donations of many businesses and organizations statewide. Through their help and efforts, we are able to provide for our guests at the "20 Stars" Celebration Party.
The "Stay 4" Project® Successful Students Seminar
On Thursday April 14, 2011 the Great Plains LIFE Foundation held the 3rd annual Successful Student Seminar at ISU in Normal, Illinois. 68 students from across the state attended this event to gain an inside look into the college lifestyle and learn what it means to have a college degree. Throughout the day we enjoyed special events by ISU's own Improv Mafia, a student panel, and campus tour.

The Great Plains LIFE Foundation will raffle a newly rennovated 1958 John Deere Model 520 tractor as a fundraiser for the group's "Stay4" Project.
