Day of the Dozer

The 2021 Day of the Dozer event has been postponed.

The planning committee made the decision to reschedule the event to a later date in Spring of 2022 because of concerns regarding the rising Covid numbers in younger kids, who at this point cannot be vaccinated, and for the safety of their families, the machine operators, and volunteers.

Tickets already purchased for this year may be refunded or will be good for the 2022 event. For questions contact the Great Plains LIFE Foundation at 309-828-3406, or email

Thank you for your patience and support!

The new date will be Saturday, September 10th, 2022

The Day of the Dozer event was created in memory of William F. Brady in 1999. Since that time, more than 10,000 kids have enjoyed an experience of a lifetime...a chance to ride on heavy construction and farming equipment! This is a one of a kind opportunity for kids and their families to explore. Honorary Chairman for the Day of the Dozer are David Stark and Jim Finnigan.

Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. There are only 1500 tickets available. All proceeds will benefit the "Stay 4" Project. Admission includes the heavy equipment rides, a souvenir ‘hard hat’ and a whole lot of fun! Tickets may be purchased at Hy-Vee, The School Shop, Stark Excavating in Bloomington, or online at starting in July. For more pictures and event information go to
